Charles Reuben Estate Vineyard, Distillery, Lavender Farm and accommodation is located at Tea Tree in Tasmania's Coal River Valley wine region. Tea Tree is a five-minute drive northwest of Richmond (8 km) and a 30-minute drive north of Hobart (35 km). The 'Pinot Cottage' is a secluded self-contained timber cottage on the vineyard with two bedrooms, a spa and a wood fire. A fully equipped European kitchen is part of the open plan lounge and dining area. The lounge room has a beautiful view over some of the vineyard and contains a wood fire. Established in 1990, the four-hectare/ten-acre Charles Reuben Estate has plantings of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling in addition to other Bordeaux varieties. Since 2015 Charles Reuben Estate also grows high-quality Lavender varieties for oil production and culinary use. In April 2019 the family business also added a specialised brandy distillery. We produce the finest European style small batch fruit brandies as well as Cognac style aged brandy (available from late 2021). Currently we have a selection of fruit brandies available including cherry, apricot, raspberry and blood orange. In addition, we have made a Gin and an un-aged grape Brandy (Tisco)

At Red Brier you can stay in old world cottage or contemporary villa accommodation in Richmond, Tasmania. Built-in 1839 and originally used as a barn, the restored Red Brier Cottage can accommodate four guests in one double and one queen bedroom. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, large bathroom with a double spa bath and a laundry. The living room has a wood heater and the cottage is situated within large leafy gardens, with convict-built stone walls and a sandstone verandah. Relax in front of the wood fire, or wander around the cottage garden. Alternately, get away from the hustle and bustle of city life in the ultra modern Villa Brier (minimum age 12). It offers a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms both with ensuites, king-size beds, sound system and smart tv's above the beds. The main bedroom has a large spa and privacy is provided by your own courtyard and barbecue area with rural views. Red Brier is located in the centre of Richmond, a village famous for its Georgian architecture. Discover the convict history of the town, visit Australia's oldest bridge, or browse local shops. Richmond is a 30-minute drive (27 km) from Hobart.

Stay somewhere steeped in history and nature in an 1830s Sandstone barn. It has been converted into two separate self-contained cottages. Choose to relax in the peace and quiet of farm life, explore the incredible food and wine of the Coal River Valley, and set out on a beautiful walk on our 650 acres of farm. To relax you might just enjoy snuggling up by the fire with good book and glass of wine after a long soak in the bath.
