Stay in Strawbale Cottage for couples and families, sleeping up to five, hidden away with a view over the valley, garden and paddocks. It features two double bedrooms with ensuites and a spa. Cosy Cottage sleeps up to three people and has a very homely atmosphere with extensive use of warm timbers. Both cottages are well suited for longer stays and multi-night and weekly discounts are available. In spring and summer watch the foals play in the paddocks and meet the ponies, experience the farm life or go for walks over the farm. Enjoy the wildlife at night. Keep a lookout for the shy platypus . Whispering Spirit is located between many attractions from Hobart to Southport and the Channel. It makes it the perfect stay to experience the area. The nearby townships of Franklin and Huonville provide shops and places to eat. Franklin is around a 40-minute drive (45 km) southwest of Hobart.

Walton House is situated near the Huon River with a beautiful outlook in the heart of the Huon. Have it both ways with the serenity of the countryside, yet accessible to the beaches, mountains, local amenities and attractions. The primary residence of Walton House is over 100 years old. Their guests enjoy using the guest accommodation adjacent to the private home. You can come and go as you please. You will have access to the guest accommodation independently for the entire stay, with easy check-in and check-out, ample parking, free WiFi, and beautiful amenities. Rooms are immaculately appointed, and you will experience a relaxed stay directed only by your own itinerary. A short walk into Huonville and easy access to local sights and attractions will ensure you have a memorable stay. Two guest suites are available with fabulous common areas, including the guest lounge and courtyard. If you'd like the option of booking the entire guest accommodation, simply book both suites simultaneously. Please note that our accommodation is not suitable for children or infants.

The roundhouses are literally just that! Round buildings, made with natural materials including strawbale, timbers, and lime render to ensure they are truly environmentally sustainable. Small fully equipped homes, they are cool in summer, warm in winter, and have stunning views down the valley towards Cygnet. The roundhouses are truly environmentally sustainable (not just the odd LED lightbulb or two!), using local and natural materials, local timbers, local artisans, and minimal plastics. Under-slab insulation, thick straw walls, double glazed windows, and the round shape all add to the eco-design. Architecturally designed, the roundhouses achieved an exceptional energy rating, with underfloor heating, remote-controlled blinds and a cute log burner. Each roundhouse has high-quality wooden furniture including king-sized beds and luxury soft furnishings from Liberty of London, Studio G, and Canningvale. On-site is a wood-fired hot tub which you can book as a spa experience. We provide a pre-heated hot tub, bathrobes, towels, and a herbal and salt bath teabag. We also sell local wines and cider as well as cheese/cider platters. The Bear unit is designed for families with a massive heart oak solid king bed frame, and a small bunk bedroom for up to two children. The Otter unit, for couples, has the best window seat in Tasmania, and a solid Marri timber bed.
