Silver Ridge Retreat is a 180-acre property surrounded by old-growth forest at the foot of Sheffield's Mt Roland offering mountain views, approximately 30 minutes from Devonport and the Spirit of Tasmania. The cottages all have two bedrooms, with a queen bed in the main and three singles in the 2nd bedroom. There are abundant native animals, an indoor heated swimming pool and an 1870s silver mine with stalactites, cave spiders and glow-worms. Plenty of walking trails nearby, including the Mt Roland Summit Track. There are evening wildlife walks (weather dependent) to see possum, wallaby, owl and platypus and an abundance of stars. Surrounded by alpine fields, contented cows and horse, Silver Ridge Retreat is a peaceful relaxing experience. "Noise" here is bird song, wind and running water.
