Raptor Refuge

Nestled in Tasmania’s pristine bushland, Eagle Ridge Retreat offers a unique fusion of luxury and wilderness. Only an easy 25-minute drive from the centre of Hobart, Parnella Kettering is the perfect base from which to explore both the Channel and Bruny Island. Parnella Kettering offers two options for its guests. Bloomsbury Cottage is a very comfortable self-catered one-bed studio cottage in a tranquil setting. Bloomsbury Cottage will provide you with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. There is a large bathroom with shower and a private deck with barbecue. The Garden House is a well appointed and comfortable self-catered two bedroom apartment with a wood fire for cosy evenings. The Garden House offers privacy and seclusion. Set in its own garden the Garden House includes a combined lounge and dining room with kitchenette, and bathroom with spa bath. They also offer a range of optional housekeeping services, including provisioning and cleaning which are available for a surcharge.

An idyllic natural sanctuary teeming with native wildlife sprawled over six-acres; Oyster Cove Chalet is just 25 minutes from central Hobart and three minutes to Kettering Bruny Island Ferry Terminal. The apartments are easily locatable, situated only 400 metres from the Channel Highway. Accommodation consists of four modern and luxurious self-contained studio apartments, all on the ground level and easily accessible. The apartments all contain very comfortable King, or Twin beds and ensuite bathrooms. The apartments also have one offering disabled bathroom facilities. Each of the apartments is equipped with a kitchenette and an outdoor dining area with own barbecue facilities. Each apartment has its own heating and cooling via a reverse cycle air-conditioning unit. The apartments underscore the environmentally-friendly personality of Oyster Cove Chalet, having a colour scheme of brown, beige, white and green to echo the palette of the surrounding sand, sky, and forestry; a perfect retreat for couples or families who are looking for a short break in Australia’s best natural state.
