Shinrin Yoku North West offers guided Forest Therapy walks in NW Tasmania. Connecting our senses with nature has many health benefits and can help to 'reset' our stress levels and promote good health. A forest therapy guide helps you to slow down, and be present in your body and the environment. Forest Therapy is an evidence based practice that can reduce the effects of stress, help to enhance your immune system and improve mood. Be invited to take part in activities to enhance the health benefits of being in nature such as stretching, deep breathing and sensory activities. Be inspired by science and poetry. Experience the deep relaxation that comes from sensory immersion in nature and presence in your own body. Elspeth Brock is a certified Forest Therapy guide with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance and trained in horticulture and mindfulness practices. NW Tasmania has stunning forests, rivers and some of the cleanest air in the world. Walks can be tailored to a time and place to suit your group such as Fern Glade, The Tasmanian Arboretum, Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens and the Tarkine. They run for 2 hours and conclude with a cup of herbal tea.
