A lovely getaway spot for anyone who loves the beach, bushwalking, biking and birdwatching. You can enjoy peace and quiet and listen to nature. The best part of our property is that we are only 5 minute walk to the Mortimer Beach and Tangara trail walking track. You can walk from our property to the bushland and beach. Local cafes, pubs and supermarkets are only a few minutes away. Our house is at the back of the property. We are happy to keep out of your way but happy to offer you local advice. You must be fully self-contained with your own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with you on departure. Campfires are allowed on property subject to local council conditions. Please bring your own fire pit. We can provide power via extension cords or firewood for a small fee. Dogs welcome, but our fence is not secure. There is lots of local wildlife to spot so please be aware of your dogs.

Clifton Beach Coastal Retreat is positioned on a section of our three-acre block that is completely private from the main residence. The site is surrounded by beautiful native trees and garden - there is a small camp shelter with power, bench, sink, hot water, bar fridge and an outdoor shower to rinse off. The beach is a five-minute walk away. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions such as Port Arthur approximately 90 minutes drive away.

Sandtemple is a beachfront shack, resting lightly on top of a tiny sand spit between Cremorne Beach and Pipe Clay Lagoon with direct water access to both. A unique tiny home where the sun sets and rises over water. Immerse yourself in nature by soaking in the totally private hidden outdoor tub or befriend the shy Pademelons in the garden or walk the beach and coastal path. A seaside shack since the 1940s, we have lovingly restored Sandtemple using up-cycled and sustainably sourced timber. Bespoke interiors and books collected from our travels encourage a feeling of home. Let the sound of the sea lull you to sleep whilst wrapped up in a soft doona. Be sure to pack your swimmers for a dip in the sea or your windbreaker for a blustery stroll along the seaside cliffs. Every window has a view of water and the sun pours in keeping you warm over the winter months. It feels as if you have left the busy life behind yet we are only 30 minutes from the centre of Hobart and all of the attractions available there. It is also only 20 minutes from the airport. The garden is a simple coastal dune and you walk across daisies to access the coffee/wine seat and through boobyalla to the beach. You will leave refreshed. We guarantee it.
