We have had to implement the following policy due to a number of recent guests disregarding our house rules and creating unacceptable levels of noise at the house, causing a disturbance to our neighbours. Parties will not be tolerated. Relax in the large, sunny living room, taking in the view through the extensive windows. Glass sliding doors lead out onto the huge deck where you can chill out on a sun lounger and watch the constantly changing activity on the river. Budding chefs can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen. The house can sleep up to 12 guests across five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Motel 429 is in a prime position overlooking the picturesque River Derwent. Across the road is the entertainment and restaurants of Wrest Point Casino. The Motel is just minutes away from the University of Tasmania, the Derwent Sailing Club and the Sandy Bay Yacht club. From Motel 429 it is a short drive to the Hobart CBD, Salamanca and the Docks where you will find great shopping, waterfront cafes, the famous Salamanca Markets and the ferry terminal for Mona. The shopping centre’s of Sandy Bay and Lower Sandy Bay also offers a variety of eateries and boutique shops. Sandy Bay Road is the start of the Scenic drive through to the Huon Valley and the South West.
