For $50 you can enjoy a Whisky Tasting Experience with four 15ml tastes of our Callington Mill Single Malt Whiskies as well as a self-guided tour. The self-guided tours allow you to experience the whisky making process, with interactive stations brought to life by audio, images and video.

Built in 1832 in what is now the most in tact Georgian town in Australia, this heritage listed country pub is the beating heart of the community it serves. Boasting a bar, restaurant, cafe and accommodation, The Kentish is the perfect place to grab a drink, dine on deliciously fresh Tassie produce or settle in to a cosy room for the night.

Located in Australia’s largest sandstone colonial village, Oatlands, just 50 minutes from Hobart airport, in the heart of country Tasmania. Petit Chateau Oatlands is the perfect high-end getaway for couples, solo travellers, or friends - you’ll love all the special details inside this stylish 1830’s convict-built stone cottage. Picture hand-carved sandstone walls, Georgian cottage windows, a vaulted ceiling with 200-year-old exposed beams, a luxurious contemporary bathtub, and cosy fireplace. Two bedrooms with King-size beds await you with deliciously cosy linen and French Consul linen cushions crafted from French flax by Irish artisans. You’ll love the quiet simplicity of our antique provincial furniture and decor. From the bedrooms, walk through the 1830’s original doorway into two beautifully appointed and comfortable lounge settings – sink into our cloud-like lounge in front of the fire or enjoy your morning tea in our linen Chesterfields gazing out to the garden. The large open plan room also includes a gorgeous country kitchen and island bench for preparing meals or enjoying a wine. Located midway between Hobart and Launceston and five minutes from the historic village of Oatlands, the National Trust listed Bowhill Grange is a picture-perfect collection of early colonial farm buildings that were built in 1854. Set in an oasis of green, shaded by a grove of ancient cypress pines and perched on a sandstone ridge overlooking the adjacent dam, Bowhill Grange is circled by hundreds of acres of prime merino pastures with a dramatic backdrop of Table Mountain and the surrounding conservation area. Originally part of the renowned Anstey Barton estate, ownership passed to six generations of the Agnew family in 1878 under the stewardship of Sir James Agnew, who was subsequently one of Tasmania’s early Premiers. An integral part of this prominent landholding, Bowhill Grange not only reflects Tasmania’s early colonial history, but was indeed an active contributor, well known throughout the young colony during this period as the home of The Assyrian, the 1882 Melbourne Cup winner, who was stabled here for nearly two decades. With two beautifully refurbished self-contained cottages, Bowhill Grange is an ideal base to explore the magnificent Southern Midlands and beyond, with Hobart, Launceston and the east coast all about an hour’s drive away.
