Freycinet Sea Cliffs Climbing and Abseiling

Located in the heart of Launceston, the Cataract Gorge is a natural gem that has been the training ground for local climbers for years. This tour starts with an introductory abseil off a spectacular cliff overlooking the water. Once you have mastered this skill we move on to some top rope climbing at the nearby Trackside Buttress. The finish is a combination of both skills with an abseil to the base of Feltham Buttress prior to climbing back out.

At Friendly Beaches, basic camping is available at Isaacs Point on a first-in, first-served basis for a maximum of 14 nights. Campsites are tucked between the​ coastal scrub, with a range of sites suitable for tents, campervans and caravans. Here, the endless stretches of white sandy beach are perfect for long walks, while the ocean entices swimmers and surfers. Fish off the beaches or the rocks and enjoy the ever-changing colours of the granite in the fading evening light. Isaacs Point has pit toilets but no freshwater. Freycinet is a Fuel Stove Only Area​ as it is very dry and vulnerable to fire. No fires are allowed in the national park. Gas and fuel stoves may be used except on days of Total Fire Ban, when no naked flames of any sort, including gas and fuel stoves, are allowed in the open.​ These sites are available on a first-come, first served basis and range in size and characteristics. Please note - Tasmanian Parks Pass required. ​​​

Loma Talo is a completely refurbished holiday house in the heart of Coles Bay. With a classic Tassie shack feel, it has been complimented and furnished in a retro and funky way, to ensure guests are comfortable and can enjoy this unique space. It has three bedrooms, the master bedroom is quite spacious with plenty of cupboard space and a couch. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is medium in size. The third bedroom is the smaller room and contains a tri bunk. Free WIFI is provided with your stay. The living area is open plan and consists of the lounge, dining and kitchen. There are floor to ceiling windows along one whole wall in the living area which looks out onto a spacious entertainment deck, where you can enjoy outdoor dining and a BBQ is supplied. There are mountain views through the trees from the front deck. The kitchen is well equipped and has an open plan design allowing in lots of natural light. There is one bathroom, which has been renovated and is modern in design, with a large shower and basin. The toilet is separate. Loma Talo is light and bright, with fun and relaxation in mind. The fireplace can only be used from May to September for safety and logistic considerations.

There is also a second family room and living room, which is great for kids to hang out in and play games or watch TV. The boat ramp is a two-minute drive from this holiday house. Fish at Freycinet is just a short stroll to the beach, Granite cafe/restaurant and shops. The fireplace is available for guests from May to September only.
