Shutterbug Walkabouts' Mountain and Wildlife Photo-oriented Nature Tour is a private tour visiting Mt Wellington and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Hobart. It's an immersive nature and wildlife experience. Hear from an experienced local guide as they share their extensive knowledge about Tasmania's intriguing history, stunning natural environment, adorable wildlife and charming birds. And, being a talented local nature and wildlife photographer with a passion to help others capture unique photos, not just snapshots, you'll be sure to capture some truly special moments too. Travel from Hobart to the summit of Mt Wellington for breathtaking panoramic views across Hobart and beyond, including the Derwent River. Wander through the cool-climate rainforest amongst tree ferns and tall trees, watching for a diversity of interesting and colourful fungi, pausing for a while at a waterfall. Be intrigued by the history of 'the mountain' and why locals love it as their own backyard. Indulge in birdwatching - especially in spring when the birds are feeding on the nectar of native flowers and enjoy a picnic at 'The Springs' surrounded by bushland. Be captivated by Tasmania's adorable wildlife, including the Tasmanian Devil, wombats, quolls and others at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Additional options are available by request.
