These luxury eco-friendly holiday homes have been built using one of the most environmentally sustainable construction materials in the world. As two near-identical ocean-view villas, Indica and Sativa House were the first structures built in Tasmania using locally processed crops to make hempcrete. Guests experience a truly unique accommodation showcasing multiple uses of this incredibly versatile plant. The beautiful stone-like walls have been made from locally grown and processed crops supplied by X-Hemp, the world’s only entirely female-operated cannabis fibre mill as recently featured on Grand Designs Australia. Visitors can begin to unwind by sipping a wee hemp G&T made with the beautiful spirits distilled locally from ingredients grown close by, and watch the sunset over the stunning D'Entrecasteaux Channel. After a peaceful night’s sleep on a high-quality handmade mattress dressed in the most divine hemp bed linen, guests can open a window to hear the sound of birds in the stunning native garden that is thriving thanks to the generous application of hemp mulch. Following a swim at the nearby beach, or after hiking the sea cliffs, guests can refresh using the gorgeous hemp bathroom products made or re-fuel their next adventure by sampling some of the complimentary hemp foods supplied.
