Derwent Distillery is a family owned whisky, gin and liqueur distillery located on the banks of the River Derwent in the rural township of Dromedary, Tasmania. Visitors are invited to explore a working distillery and cellar door in a scenic riverside setting. Tastings showcase single malt whisky, gin and liqueurs made in small batches with a focus on quality and craftsmanship. Some botanicals are foraged directly from the distillery grounds and surrounding area. Ingredients are sustainably sourced, local and often organic. Seasonal Tasmanian native botanicals are used to create distinctive flavour profiles across the range. Derwent Estate is a family owned and operated wine business at Granton in Tasmania's south. Just 20 minutes north of Hobart, the largest city in Tasmania, the vineyard is nestled perfectly on north facing slopes which run down to the Derwent River, a perfect aspect for the production of cool climate wine grapes. The 1820 Convict built historic cottage houses a truly unique tasting experience of 12 different varietals. Open 7 days a week. The Shed Restaurant offers lunches made from the finest local Tasmanian produce and operates Wednesday to Sunday. Located at 42 degrees south latitude this is genuine cool climate viticulture. Tasmania is rapidly gaining a reputation as Australia’s premier Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Sparkling wine producing area.

Leap and Wander Creative Workshops will help you discover your inner potter or artist. Beginners and novices this is for you! My workshops are social and supportive and you will make pieces you will be proud of and impress your family and friends. There are many different workshops to choose from and all the details are on my website. You can come by yourself, with a friend or contact me to organise a date just for your group. Pottery: You will hand build your pieces not use a pottery wheel. The studio is on our country property in the Derwent Valley an easy 35-minute drive from Hobart. All workshop places must be booked ahead.
