Nestled in the heart of Exeter, the Tamar Visitor Centre is your warm and welcoming gateway to exploring the Tamar Valley and the wider wonders of Tasmania. The team of passionate locals are always happy to share their favourite spots, hidden gems, and practical tips to help you make the most of your travels. Inside, you'll find brochures covering everything from scenic walks and family activities to dining, wineries, and accommodation across the State. They also stock Tasmanian products, locally made gifts, and a wide range of souvenirs to suit every interest and budget - there's something here for everyone! To help you plan your adventures, they offer National Parks passes, detailed maps, and plenty of local knowledge about the region. As part of the accredited Tasmanian Visitor Information Network, you can count on them for trusted, up‑to‑date travel advice. Outside, you'll find a BBQ and picnic area, making it an ideal spot to relax, enjoy lunch, or take a break before continuing your journey. The Tamar Visitor Centre is more than just an information stop — it's a friendly place to pause, explore, and feel right at home in the Tamar Valley.
