The Riddle of Washpool Gully | Terrapin and Dead Puppet Society, presented by The Theatre Royal

A man is moving two unique looking puppets. One puppet is a giant kangaroo the other is a man.
On the edges of cities, down dusty roads and through dense thickets of scrub are secret places. One such place is near a small forgotten town – the lonely creek bed of Washpool Gully. Here, the rumbling of engines has woken something from its long slumber and the creek bed is coming to life. The Riddle of Washpool Gully is a modern classic of children’s theatre and combines richly imaginative puppets and miniature sets by Terrapin (Scaredy Cat, The Paper Escaper) and Dead Puppet Society (The Wider Earth) to give voice to the mythological creatures of this country’s expansive landscape. There will be a Relaxed Performance of The Riddle of Washpool Gully at 2pm on Fri 4 October. Relaxed Performances are for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. This can include, but is not limited to, people with autism, sensory sensitivities, Tourette's syndrome, learning disabilities or dementia, as well as people living with anxiety or people who have experienced trauma. Please contact the Theatre Royal Box Office if you have any questions. +61 (03) 6146 3300 or boxoffice@theatreroyal.com.au
