One entertaining hour of music featuring the full orchestra, hosted by MC and viola player, William Newbery. Meet your friends, bring your drink with you to your seat and let the music fill your soul. Australian composer Harry Sdraulig's dazzling Icarus, written for Principal Piccolo Lloyd Hudson, takes inspiration from the tragic myth of Icarus. Biber's Battalia is a 1673 masterpiece packed with stamping and rowdy melodies meant to imitate drunken sailors. Schubert's sparkling Symphony No 5 was written when he was just 19. Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Eivind Aadland is on the podium.
