Scottish Lunch at The Church – Friday 19th June 2026

Scottish Lunch at The Church Tasmania
Step into the warmth and tradition of Scotland with a truly unique dining experience inside a beautifully restored 1857 heritage sandstone church — where Scotland and Tasmania meet. Guests will be welcomed in true Scottish style, piped into The Church by a traditional bagpiper, creating a grand and heartfelt arrival, with a special solo performance to follow after dessert. Enjoy a substantial Scottish buffet-style lunch, featuring a generous selection of traditional savoury and sweet favourites from yesteryear — all homemade from scratch using quality Tasmanian ingredients wherever possible. Highlights include comforting classics such as Cullen Skink and Cock-a-Leekie soups, Haggis with Neeps & Tatties, Balmoral Chicken, Scottish Beef Stew, Lorne Sausage, and a selection of traditional Scottish desserts including Clootie Dumpling, Cranachan and shortbread. Throughout the Church, a curated soundtrack of Scottish favourites and traditional tunes creates a warm, immersive atmosphere to match the food and setting. Self-serve hot and cold drink stations are included, featuring tea, coffee, iced water and fruit punch, and guests are welcome to BYO drinks — perhaps a wee dram or something of your choosing. Includes Substantial 3-course Scottish buffet lunch (soups, mains & desserts) Unlimited hot & cold drinks – tea, coffee, water & fruit punch Live bagpiping welcome on arrival Bagpiping performance after dessert BYO drinks welcome – glassware & ice provided (no corkage).
