Mark Teague from WhiskyIsMyJam and the Tasmanian producers of some fine single malt will provide for an intimate, informative and conversation flowing event. Cruise the River Derwent in style as you enjoy 3 hours of incredible scenery, premium Tasmanian drams, and maritime-inspired hospitality. Enjoy a curated menu of Tasmanian food, paired with expressions from two of Tasmania's most respected distilleries: Overeem and Waubs Harbour. What to expect? For the first time ever, one of our most beloved event formats heads to the east coast! Held at The Farmshed in Bicheno, this 'Meet the Maker' experience brings together five Tasmanian producers for a relaxed evening of storytelling, tasting, and connection. Expect a constantly changing dinner guest at your table each with their own story and plenty of whisky to share! Mark Teague from Whisky is My Jam will be hosting the evening and in charge of the bell, which is when you know it is time for the distillers to swap tables. This is a casual, social event designed for conversation, with producers on hand to chat all things whisky. Enjoy light snacks throughout the evening, and if you're still hungry, the full dinner menu will be available for those keen to linger longer and savour some hearty local fare. For a small, select group of whisky enthusiasts, this isn't just a day of learning; it's an investment in your future dram! • Secure Your bottle: In just over two years, you'll have the exclusive opportunity to purchase whisky from the 20-litre cask you helped create, before it's released to the public! • The Ultimate Legacy: Or, for those with a grander vision, opt for a bottle from a 100-litre cask, ready in six or seven years, for an even more significant share of your handcrafted spirit. • We'll place a special label on all the bottles produced from your efforts, proudly acknowledging your direct contribution to its creation. This exclusive experience is limited to just six participants per session, ensuring a truly immersive and personalized journey. Distillery representatives will be on hand to pour your whisky and share stories as you take in Hobart's stunning harbour and sunset views.
