We explore the use of soft pastels and work with still life, landscape, animal life, abstract and more, based on the interest of those in attendance. We meet from 1-3pm during the second Tuesday of every month. All materials are provided, although if you have a soft pastel set collecting dust at home, you're welcome to bring. Although there are tips and suggestions, this is not a professional guided session, it is experimentation, play and fun. You can just show up. Beginners are welcome. Facilitated by Tasmanian Artist, Lee-Anne Peters who has been working with soft pastels as her main medium of choice for over 20yrs. The Campbell Town Art and Craft Group has been running since March 2024. This is a fun, casual and friendly group of people interested in meeting other people, creating with others or getting out of the house. Bring your own activity to do. Whether it be painting a picture, crocheting a blanket, colouring in, knitting, tending to your hobby, or anything you would like to do. You can just show up. New people are welcome. There is no charge. On the 2nd Tuesday of each month. 10am - 12pm. Note: there will be no Art & Craft Group during July, Aug or Sept.

Explore grey lead & graphite pencils and work with shading, texture, detail, still life, landscape, animal life, abstract and more, based on the interest of those in attendance. Meet from 1-3pm every third Tuesday of the month. All materials are provided, although if you have a pencil or graphite set collecting dust at home, you're welcome to bring it. Although there are tips and suggestions, this is not a professionally guided session, it is for experimentation, play, fun and for practice. You can just show up. Beginners are welcome. Facilitated by Tasmanian Artist, Lee-Anne Peters, who has been working with grey lead and graphite pencil since the late 1980's.

Class and workshop

Make your own intricate Faerie House with gnarly, moss cover trees, flowers, fungi, patterns, windows, door, shingles etc. An imaginary place where the faeries are sure to take up residence. Add a candle or light to brighten the lantern up from the inside. An intensive, yet fun, three days of clay making and decorating. Fully guided and supported. All clay, tools, materials, glazing and kiln firing costs are included. You will build your Faerie House using the slab building method. Any additions can be impressed, hand sculpted and added on (Lee-Anne will guide you with this). They'll leave an opening in the back for the candle/light of your choosing, cut out the door and windows, and add your decoration colours. Lee-Anne will twice fire in the kiln and apply clear glaze for you. You have great opportunity to personalise your Faerie House with detail. The piece you create will be available for pick up, with details given at the Workshop (approx 4 weeks later), and postage is available for interstate and international visitors at the attendee's expense. Featuring a variety of high-quality watercolour and acrylic artworks. From landscape and floral inspirations to abstract, Pam is an award-winning and experienced artist and teacher based in Latrobe. Opening event: Sunday 7 June, arrive from 2.15 for a 2.30pm start Meet Pam, see the collection of her artworks, light refreshments All artworks will be for sale. Showing: Fri 5 June till Wed 1 July Open daily from 9am-4pm

This workshop isn't about producing a perfect painting — it's about rediscovering the freedom and enjoyment of creativity.
