Seven days of photography in Tasmania's rugged Tarkine region! Running each autumn and spring, we'll explore the magnificent old rainforest and waterfalls around Corinna followed by time on the wild Tarkine coast near Arthur River. Fungi is a highlight in autumn, and wonderful spring new-growth a highlight in spring. This very special "Complete" Tarkine experience includes 3 nights in the rainforest at Corinna followed by 3 nights at Arthur River which gives us great access to the West Coast for sunset shoots. Also included are two river cruises - one at dawn on the Pieman River to capture morning mist and reflections; the second a half day cruise on the Arthur River with a BBQ lunch and sea eagles. This four day Tasmanian photography tour and workshop is based in St Helens in Tasmania's world famous Bay of Fires region. Highlights of this workshop include: * sunrise and sunset sessions over the Bay of Fires * half day shoot in the lovely green rainforest surrounding St Columba Falls. * Night Sky Session We will also take any opportunities that arise to explore wildlife photography (pelicans are commonly sighted in the Bay of Fires), macro photography (including the wonderful rainforest fungi which is seen in the cooler months) and of course seascape photography meaning all aspects of landscape photography will be covered. Luke's workshops are suitable for photographers of all skill and experience levels. Beginners and intermediate photographers will benefit greatly from personalised in the field tuition, while more advanced shooters will be able to take advantage of Luke's wealth of knowledge of great locations in this incredibly beautiful area of Tasmania. All expenses are included in tour fee - accommodation (three nights, single room for all participants), tuition, guide/vehicle, national parks entry (where applicable) and meals. Visit some beautiful Tasmanian rainforest and waterfalls in this full-day Tasmanian photography tour. Enjoy the cool greenness of Tasmania’s cool temperate rainforest and marvel at some of the biggest trees in the world. View beautiful waterfalls and cascading streams and take time out in this ancient environment. We will spend the morning photographing Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls deep in the Tasmanian rainforest at Mt Field National Park. After a delicious locally made lunch we will then visit the secluded Styx Valley of the Giants to photograph the tallest hardwood trees on earth. Five days of photography at Tasmania's Cradle Mountain! This tour includes sunrise, sunset and astro/night photography shoots at Dove Lake. During the days we will explore the trails including old mountain huts, alpine rainforest, waterfalls and wildlife. This very special experience includes 4 nights in your own private room at the Cradle Mountain Hotel. Discover some beautiful waterfalls in the foothills of Mt Wellington, and then shoot a magnificent sunset from the Eastern Shore, as the city skyline sparkles into life under the imposing backdrop of Mt Wellington. Tour start/finish times are dependent on the season. The workshop will be around 3.5 hours duration, starting mid-afternoon and finishing after the sun sets. This is a “self-drive” tour – participants will be responsible for moving themselves between locations. No meals are included in this workshop. There are no entry fees required. Also, there are no minimum number requirements for this workshop, meaning it will run even as a 1 on 1 private tour in the case of one booking only.

Winter in Tasmania means beautiful light for photography as well as stunningly dark nights. During this four day photography workshop, we will photograph Tasmania's Freycinet Peninsula from land and sea during daylight hours. At night, we will head out to photograph the night sky which in winter includes the stunning arc of the Milky Way and with a bit of luck the aurora australis too. The tour fee includes all expenses associated with the trip including your own private cabin at the luxurious Freycinet Lodge for 3 nights. The tour starts and finishes in Hobart, and transport - including pick up and drop off at your accommodation is also included. All meals and entry fees are included, such as National Parks and our cruise to Wineglass Bay, which are very special highlights on this tour. This is a small group tour for maximum enjoyment of the experiences and time to cover all the photographic technique needed to shoot in various settings. There will be a maximum of 6 guests.

Three day autumn "Fagus & Fungi" photography workshop at Mt Field and South West Tasmania! This brand new tour is all about the unique treasures of a Tasmanian autumn and a guided exploration of some of Tassie's tall tree locations. We will shoot the deciduous beech (Fagus) leaves at Mt Field, as well as the stunning autumn fungi to be found in the nearby valleys of giant trees such as the Styx and Florentine. This very special autumn experience includes 2 nights in your own private room at the brand new Mt Field Retreat. Three day seascape photography workshop on Tasmania’s Tasman Peninsula Spend three days exploring the stunning coastal formations on Tasmania’s Tasman Peninsula. Based at Eaglehawk Neck we will shoot sunrise just across the road at the Tessellated Pavement. During the days we will continue exploring the Peninsula both on foot and by sea – as we join the Pennicott Tasman Island Cruise. Tour dates coincide with New Moon, so astrophotography will be a part of this trip too – fingers crossed for an appearance by the aurora australis!
