North West Tasmania is steeped in Aboriginal Culture and this is an authentic opportunity to see the rugged North West of Tasmania through Aboriginal eyes. The itinerary is led by Aboriginal Elders who will enrich your understanding of the original custodians of the land and their culture. You will learn about the rich and ancient Aboriginal culture through ceremony, storytelling and connection to the Country by visiting sacred sites including petroglyphs, middens and former homes. You will visit culturally significant sites at West Point, Green Point and Sundown Point. It is here at the sacred sites at the behest of the Elders we evoke the spirit of the ancestors to impart their legend, and in the deep quiet when you are very still, the ancients may whisper to you. Invigorate your mind and body with Qi Gong, Meditation Sound Healing and Tai Chi in the serene and enveloping arms of nature. Our trained practitioners will also provide you with individual one on one treatments to round out your day of relaxation, healing and wellness. On this day you not only have the chance to escape from the stresses of daily life, but can stimulate your mind in a remarkable location and learn wellbeing techniques with like-minded people. It’s a great chance to not just relax, but also to improve your physical and emotional well-being. In the afternoon after a delicious healthy lunch you will receive the 2 half hour individual treatments - selected from the following: Reiki session, Aura-Soma (1 hour treatment), craniosacral, sound healing or a card reading. Tall Timbers Tasmania is located in Circular Head, on the edge of the Tarkine Rainforest and a short drive from the historic town of Stanley. Tall Timbers is a modern accommodation and entertainment venue for guests and travellers visiting North West Tasmania and offers free parking to fully self-contained recreational vehicles from October to May each year (closed June to September). Vehicles are welcome at the property for a maximum stay of 72 hours in a 14-day consecutive period. Circular Head is an RV-friendly region with a waste point located on the west side of Duck River Bridge in Smithton, approximately three kilometres from Tall Timbers. Enjoy a drink or meal in our sports bar or bistro, try your luck in our gaming room, or walk the expansive grounds.
