Hobart Hideaway Pods offers boutique eco friendly accommodation conveniently located within 20 minutes drive of Hobart, Tasmania. Our accommodation consists of two architecturally designed individual ‘Pods’, named The Vanilla Pod and The Pea Pod. Situated amongst a rural setting, with glimpses to Mount Wellington and amazing views to The Derwent Estuary beyond, our guests appreciate the close proximity to Hobart and all of its attractions whilst being in the secluded quiet of the surrounds. Both pods are equipped with king-sized beds, which can also be configured as a twin, fluffy towels, hair dryer, composting toilet, shower and basin, iron and ironing board, coat stand and hangers, TV, heater, WiFi, books, magazines, some games and a comprehensive guest information book. The kitchenette includes a kettle, toaster, bar fridge, microwave, and all the trimmings. There is a small mini-bar stocked with some local wines, ciders and beers. Guests are welcome to bring their own breakfast goodies. Tea and coffee is complimentary. A continental breakfast is available on request, which includes bread/toast, condiments, cereal, yoghurt, and fresh fruit. The pods have bi-folding doors, which open up the entire front onto sweeping decks and are beautifully decorated.

Cedar Cottages Blackmans Bay is a welcoming place to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of Southern Tasmania. Located in the gorgeous seaside village of Blackmans Bay and only 15 minutes south of Hobart CBD. Cedar Cottage, a spacious single bathroom four-bedroom house, comfortably accommodates up to 8 people. The Country Cottage, a comfortable four bedroom two bathroom house, accommodates up to 10 people. The Country Suite, a modern three bedrooms one bathroom house, accommodates up to 8 people. The Cinnamon Cottage, a modern two bedrooms one bathroom house, accommodates up to 4 people. Cedar Loft, a studio apartment, sleeps, two adults and two children. Only a five-minute drive to Kingborough Sports Centre. In total, we can accommodate groups of up to 30. All cottages are fully furnished and self-contained, including linen and we, provide all of the items that you need to self-cater. Both locations have BBQ's provided. Blackmans Bay is a central base for exploring many great Tasmanian attractions, including The Antarctic Division Headquarters, The Huon Trail, Tahune Air Walk, Hastings Caves, Port Arthur, MONA Museum of Old and New Art and of course all the sites of Hobart.

Motel 429 is in a prime position overlooking the picturesque River Derwent. Across the road is the entertainment and restaurants of Wrest Point Casino. The Motel is just minutes away from the University of Tasmania, the Derwent Sailing Club and the Sandy Bay Yacht club. From Motel 429 it is a short drive to the Hobart CBD, Salamanca and the Docks where you will find great shopping, waterfront cafes, the famous Salamanca Markets and the ferry terminal for Mona. The shopping centre’s of Sandy Bay and Lower Sandy Bay also offers a variety of eateries and boutique shops. Sandy Bay Road is the start of the Scenic drive through to the Huon Valley and the South West. We provide outstanding motel accommodation in Hobart including Deluxe Waterview, Deluxe Self Contained and Queen Rooms. Our accommodation is ideal for either the corporate or leisure traveller.
