Highlights of Northern Tasmania

Sampling some of Tasmania's fine wine
Rural Scenery near Sheffield
These very shy creatures can be found all over Tasmania, but at Platypus they are so tame.
This is a tour with a difference put together by Paul who has lived in Tasmania for over 40 years. Paul has put together what he considers as some of the most interesting and scenic places in the north of the State. Many are not visited on a regular basis by tourists as they are simply unknown little gems that only the locals know about. Put simply it is a mix of historic villages and places, beautiful gardens with both endemic and exotic plants and trees, some of Tasmania's best gourmet food and drink products at the factory outlet, and a chance to get up close and personal with some of our native animals including Platypus and Echidna a chance to see the real Tasmania. Add to this a scenic drive with a mix of mountains and peaceful white sandy beaches in the Narawntapu National Park.
