Experience the wild heart of Tasmania with Tasmanian Photography Tours owner, Ben Wilkinson, in this signature landscape photography workshop. Designed for adventurers and photography enthusiasts alike, you'll hike into Tasmania's untamed wilderness, capturing dramatic landscapes, ancient forests, and the island's rich and diverse flora. Ben will lead you into the wild places of Tasmania's West Coast to see what the ancient Gondwana landscapes must have looked like. These tours are not for the faint of heart, it is the West Coast of Tasmania in late Autumn so it will be cold, wet and muddy. You must be prepared to carry your own gear uphill, walk in all weather conditions for 4-6 hours each day over 3 days. Each day concludes with a dry, warm bed and a hearty meal beside the fire in an old mountain cabin. There's no electricity, no phone signal and it is fantastic, if you love nature and you're not afraid of getting a little breathless in the quest for stunning images, these tours will blow your mind.

Departing in the dark, you'll journey across the waters of the Tasman Peninsula, guided by the moon and stars, before watching the day break over sheer sea cliffs and the towering silhouette of Tasman Island. Our hotel lies within two converted convict-built ex-warehouses, designed to reflect and show this heritage connection while bringing the wilderness of Tasmania into the hotel through our multi-storey plant-filled light wells and planted areas. Many of our rooms feature sandstone walls and exposed timber beams. We are both boutique and unique. Each guest is treated as a family member and our hotel is truly a sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle of this vibrant southern city.
