Unlock the Dark Military Past Old buildings have dark places and many have dark secrets. Old Military Gaols even more so.... Explore the dark side inside the country's only 19th-century military prison at Hobart's Anglesea Military site located in Australia's oldest military barracks still in use and is one of Australia's most significant historical military precincts. The Gaol was established to accommodate wayward soldiers and was built in 1847. This imposing building contains 14 individual cells and the gaolers' quarters. Access to this venue in the darkest hours is not otherwise permitted, so join us on our two-hour paranormal investigation to find out what secrets this prison has to tell. This is not a Ghost Tour but a unique paranormal experience.
