A part of the Light up the West annual event, the Strahan Solstice will come alive this winter! A celebration of the winter solstice and beyond. Featuring a free light show event "Port to Post" a stunning projected visual and auditory display on iconic buildings in the Strahan Post Office.
Blending the raw beauty of the West Coast with the warmth of its people, the festival offers a bright and welcoming escape during the darkest days of winter. Long Table dinners, live music, twilight markets, winter solstice swims and more...
The Strahan Solstice, celebrates the magic of Tasmania's West Coast, inviting all to illuminate their winter and ignite their inner light this year.
Dark Mofo's infamous Nude Solstice Swim returns for 2025. With an increased capacity, the event will take place at Long Beach at sunrise on Saturday 21 June, welcoming back the light after the longest night. Entry is free and via registration only. Visit darkmofo.net.au for details.

A family-friendly event, a celebration of light. Bicheno Beams will offer yet another exciting reason to visit our must-stay destination.

Bicheno Beams is set to become an unmissable annual event, drawing locals and visitors alike to celebrate the place we love.
You'll be welcomed by a team of local volunteers who will guide you to the viewing area. Come for two nights and see two different, alternating shows.
