Day 1: Launceston to Derby

It’s a scenic 1.5hr drive to the mountain biking mecca and adventure playground of Derby, in north-east Tasmania.
Hire an e-bike from Evolution Biking to give you an extra boost on the myriad mountain bike trails, from cruisy lakeside cycles and full throttle descents to routes through shady fern glades, tall trees and tunnels.
Enjoy woodfired pizza at the Hub to refuel for more exploring of the famed Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails.

Day 2: Derby to Launceston

Day 3: Around Launceston

It’s a short, 15min drive to Launceston Distillery. in historic Hangar 17. Take a tour, then hand fill and label your own bottle directly from the barrel.
Tuck into a fireside lunch at Westella Vineyard & Cellar in the Tamar Valley with a wintry pan of molten baked cheese, served with sourdough and fresh orchard fruits. Wash it down with a glass of Westella pinot noir or sparkling.
