A Tasmanian event exists that is slightly OFF centre; one where an unusual interlacing of agriculture and art is crafted into a program designed to disrupt. Centered around nature as our provider, something far greater and more powerful than us all, attending agriCULTURED enables the reclaiming of your own rhythm albeit in a wabi sabi world. There are moments when stories can only be felt, rather than told and this festival offers a physical and metaphorical journey through the agricultural landscapes of northern Tasmania.
Bespoke performances see the language of music and creativity translate into not just an exhibit of sorts, but a moment and one where those who stand beside us become more than just fellow attendees, but friends. Knowledge is power and agriCULTURED eventgoers have the opportunity to absorb expertise from the driving forces behind sustainability and food innovation within the agri-food sector.
Rewild yourself and return home motivated by innovation, opportunity and encouraged to pursue it the Tasmanian way. End the agritourism event with your cup filled plus a full plate at Conversations in the City, an experiential example of food, culture, and why Launceston was recently named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
A celebration of all things maritime, fishing seafood and fine food more widely accompanied by the best local beverages and an eclectic program of entertainment.
Acknowledging the fishing and farming heritage of the North East with the nation's best wines on its doorstep.
Coinciding with the start of the commercial scallop season in the depths of winter, what better reason to celebrate!

Imagine a place where scientists grace centre stage, microscopes live on bar tables, and late-night conversations have the potential to change the world. Welcome to Beaker Street Festival, where science brings us together.
Beaker Street Festival is a week-long celebration of science in Lutruwita/Tasmania each August. Now in its eighth year, Beaker Street Festival promises a mix of wonder, flavour, and scientifically proven fun. The Festival invites adults from all walks of life to delve into today’s hottest topics with a packed program of science-infused entertainment and discussions, while experiencing the best of Tasmanian environments and culture.
This year, attendees will dive into Antarctic science (literally!), help bring stars back to the city skyline, dip their toes into the slippery science of wellness, and taste the future of food.
The action will take place in an expanded Festival precinct spanning Nipaluna/Hobart’s cultural and entertainment precincts and taking in City Hall, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, The Old Mercury Building, Hope and Anchor, Mawson Place, CSIRO, and pubs, bars, and restaurants around the waterfront and CBD.
Events will kick off on Tuesday August 6th culminating with a weekend of festivities on Friday August 9th – Sunday August 11th. For those looking for more, there’s also an opportunity to recharge on Tassie’s spectacular East Coast during a two-night retreat winding up on Tuesday August 13th.
Chocolate Winterfest is Latrobe's wickedly delicious festival celebrating all things chocolate.
It is no coincidence that the Latin name for cocoa, from which chocolate is made, translates as "food of the gods". Some cultures even valued chocolate more than gold, and who could blame them. Just the mere mention of chocolate turns heads and that's what Chocolate Winterfest, Latrobe will do to you.
Chocolate Winterfest, Latrobe will indulge, inform, astound, amuse but above all celebrate chocolate as you escape from the bleakness of winter. Be indulged by events individually or successively as you immerse in this chocolate experience.
Don't deny one of life's pleasures - join us at Latrobe on the central northern coast of Tasmania for this unique celebration.
