Pelican Point Sanctuary is an 87 acre property that gives our guests the opportunity to stay in quaint fully self-contained cottages or Californian villas.
Pelican Point Sanctuary has all the facilities to not only come and stay but make it your holiday destination. Our guests can even enjoy fishing directly from the property down at our water inlet or just wander around and take in the tranquil nature setting.
Our property is truly a waterway wonderland and our walks are as diverse as the 48 species of birds that make Pelican Point their home.
Pelican Point Sanctuary is a two-minute drive by car to the township of St Helens, a ten-minute drive to the world renowned Bay of Fires and is situated perfectly for the holidaymaker to enjoy the other surrounding attractions.
ROOMS
Sandpiper Villa
Sandpiper Villa is a two bedroom apartment featuring a modern kitchen with all facilities, beautifully appointed bathroom and a large open plan living/dining area. This villa accommodates four guests.

Egret Villa
Egret Villa is our three bedroom apartment. This combines two villas into one! One of the bedrooms is actually 'Robin Villa', a self contained studio apartment. This is adjacent to the main two bedroom apartment 'Sandpiper Villa' and has both direct access from Sandpiper Villa, and its own private access if required. An ideal combination for those travelling together but who still want complete privacy. This gives the combination room to accommodate six guests.
Heron Villa
Heron is our two bedroom villa which accommodates four guests. Beautifully appointed, this villa has also been designed to make it wheelchair friendly.
Robin Studio Villa
Beautifully appointed one bedroom studio, which sleeps two guests. This villa caters for a couple and features a spacious king size bed, with all amenities.
Kookaburra Cottage
This beautiful self-contained cottage has three bedrooms, with the third bedroom privately hidden away upstairs in the loft, and one bathroom. It is suitable for a family and can sleep six guests. It is sat on a ridge with great views of the surrounding property including Platypus lake, Granny's Gut Georges Bay and the St Helens township.
Blue Wren Cottage
The studio cottage is set in the surrounds of fruit trees and is such a tranquil location with great views across the sanctuary to Georges Bay, as well as Granny's Gut, and often has our herd of belted Galloway cattle grazing nearby. It is furnished as a couples retreat.
