At Hamlet Downs Country Accommodation we offer an à la carte breakfast menu and in-house signature dining options and now 5 Course Burmese French Fusion Long Table Lunches matched with local wines and ciders every second month. Trish is passionate about food and draws from a wealth of experience in the food and beverage industry, so you can be assured the menu will be diverse, tasty and delicious! Ethically produced local farm produce will be at the heart of the Hamlet Downs food journey, standing by the ethos of good, clean and fair. If relaxing and just being is your thing, why not spend the day exploring Hamlet Downs’ 36 acres of serenity, say hello to our resident Alpacas and sheep, enjoy watching the pigs potter and dig about, or see if you can spot our local platypus in the dam.

Giants' Table offers self-catering accommodation in Maydena surrounded by National Parks and the World Heritage wilderness areas. Giants' Table and Cottages are situated at the edge of the magnificent Tasmanian wilderness. Located on the banks of the beautiful Tyenna River you will be surrounded by trees and mountains. Choose one of the cosy one to six-bedroom self-contained cottages, which are spacious and comfortably furnished and a lovely surprise after a day of exploring the Styx Forest, the Florentine Valley, Mount Field and Russell Falls or Lake Pedder and the Gordon Dam. Experience the wonderful on-site licensed a la carte restaurant appropriately known as the Giants' Table given the closeness to the entrance to the famous Giant Trees. You will be surrounded by abundant wildlife, a highlight being a family of platypus just outside your cottage doors living in their natural habitat.
