Step into the shadows with Tasmanian Photography Tours as Dark Mofo returns to Tasmania in 2025 and descends on the city with its eerie glow and pagan heartbeat. Join us for a gritty, immersive photo walk along the waterfront—where fire meets fog, and art bleeds into the night. We'll chase neon reflections in puddles, frame ghostly silhouettes in red light, and hunt for the raw, unscripted moments that only reveal themselves under cover of darkness. This is for photographers drawn to the strange, the cinematic, the barely lit. We'll explore long exposures, low light techniques, and visual storytelling in one of the most atmospheric settings Tasmania has to offer. Expect a sensory overload of visual stimuli. Whether you're into street, abstract, or low-light landscape, this workshop will push your creativity into the unknown. Reflections off wet pavement, anonymous faces lit by flickering installations, brutal architecture wrapped in fog and flame—this is photography on the edge. Expect chaos. Embrace the unknown. Hobart Hideaway Pods offers boutique eco friendly accommodation conveniently located within 20 minutes drive of Hobart, Tasmania. Our accommodation consists of two architecturally designed individual ‘Pods’, named The Vanilla Pod and The Pea Pod. Situated amongst a rural setting, with glimpses to Mount Wellington and amazing views to The Derwent Estuary beyond, our guests appreciate the close proximity to Hobart and all of its attractions whilst being in the secluded quiet of the surrounds. Both pods are equipped with king-sized beds, which can also be configured as a twin, fluffy towels, hair dryer, composting toilet, shower and basin, iron and ironing board, coat stand and hangers, TV, heater, WiFi, books, magazines, some games and a comprehensive guest information book. The kitchenette includes a kettle, toaster, bar fridge, microwave, and all the trimmings. Guests are welcome to bring their own breakfast goodies. Tea and coffee is complimentary. The pods have bi-folding doors, which open up the entire front onto sweeping decks and are beautifully decorated.

Located on the edge of the hamlet of Longley, the property is within reach of all conveniences of the urban world (10 mins to Kingston 20 mins to Hobart), yet far away in all other senses. Nestled here in the foothills of kunyani/Mt Wellington is a sanctum of calm and an invitation to lose yourself in it. When you’re ready to brave the world, the Huon Valley, Bruny Island, Wellington Park, untold numbers of waterfalls and southern beaches are at your doorstep. Curated by travellers for travellers, you’ll appreciate some of the details to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Hand-built from mud brick and local recycled timbers, character oozes from every notch and nook of this cosy cottage. Poet’s Ode offers a basic kitchenette complete with a coffee machine, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and accoutrements. Primarily it sleeps 2 persons, however, we can add a single trundle bed for a child or that special “third wheel”. With stars on the screen and stars overhead, a glass of wine and a rug, you may not want to leave your private movie theatre to go to bed. The Donkey Shed Theatre is rustic charm embodied with a 4k mini-projector, it allows you to direct cast your favourite entertainment apps, movies, TV shows, etc from your own device.

19 Blue is a self-contained holiday cottage located at Blackmans Bay, in southern Tasmania. This homely cottage has been furnished with love and charm and has all you need for a comfortable stay with a queen-sized bed, laundry and kitchen facilities. Country breakfast ingredients are supplied for your first morning including a loaf of homemade bread, eggs from the resident chickens, Weetbix and muesli. Relax on the veranda overlooking the organic vegetable garden. Guests can stay home and prepare their own evening meal, help themselves to fruits in season, or try veggies harvested straight from the garden. It's only a short walk down to Blackmans Bay Beach where there are lovely restaurants. The nearby Bayview Shopping Centre has other eateries and a range of shops to purchase supplies. Your hosts are Judith and Chris Cornish, who like to provide the same home comforts that they enjoy when they go away. For Example you WILL find a pair of scissors and some sticky tape at 19 Blue! 19 Blue is only a short drive from Hobart. The Bruny Island Ferry is a twenty-minute drive away and the lovely Huon and Channel districts are right on the doorstep.
