Held in Song

Learn lullabies to share and treasure with your little loves Immerse yourself in the gentle art of singing and sharing beautiful age-old lullabies from around the globe, from Cairo to Cape Barren Island. Together, you will learn traditional songs and stories to treasure and pass on to your children, grandchildren, and other little ones. Lullabies are among humanity's earliest musical traditions; a powerful and intimate way of connecting with, regulating and nurturing babies and children through the human voice. Sung softly and repetitively, lullabies help foster neural pathways, link language and memory, and support emotional growth during early development. Polly Christie and Allison Walsh will lead you on a magical journey through this beautiful and rich repertoire. Through gorgeous harmonies and shared singing, they will guide you through the art of lilting lullaby song, exploring both its musical beauty and its deeper purpose. Come along and embrace these timeless melodies, and take songs home to soothe, connect and share with those you love.
