Salamanca@6: Bully Hay

A man holding a guitar stands in front of a window, with water and hills behind him.
Unfiltered acoustic storytelling with an alt-rock influence Bully Hay brings an intimate acoustic set to Festival of Voices, stripping his songs back to their core. Blending dark alt‑rock storytelling with moments of warmth and lift, his performance moves between grit and grace, carried by rich vocals, layered harmonies and atmospheric textures. Audiences can expect honest lyrics, dynamic musicianship and a relaxed sense of connection in a room that feels more like a gathering than a gig. This is a chance to experience Bully Hay's music in its simplest and most direct form. Salamanca@6 is an event series added to the Festival of Voices 2026 program, celebrating emerging and early-career singers and ensembles who are helping shape the future of Tasmanian music. At 6 pm on selected evenings during the festival, audiences are invited to the Peacock Theatre to discover fresh voices, original ideas and the next wave of local talent. It's a welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and artists have the chance to share new work with an audience.
