A full day on Bruny Island built around a three-hour wilderness cruise along the island's southern coastline. Pick-up is from your Hobart accommodation, with a drive south to the ferry across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. On the island, stop at The Neck for panoramic views across North and South Bruny. The cruise runs beneath some of the highest sea cliffs in Australia, past deep sea caves and rock formations carved by the Southern Ocean, with Australian fur seals, seabirds and other marine wildlife along the way. Much of this coastline can only be reached by water. The rest of the day covers the island's produce: award-winning artisan cheese, Tasmanian honey and a relaxed lunch of local ingredients.
