kunanyi / Mt Wellington Summit Experience

Mt Wellington
Luxury Transport
A two-hour trip to the summit of kunanyi / Mount Wellington, the mountain that rises 1,271 metres directly behind Hobart. The drive climbs through the foothills and the subalpine zone to the pinnacle, where about thirty minutes is allowed to take in the views, photograph them and walk the summit boardwalk. On a clear day the outlook takes in Hobart and the Derwent estuary, Bruny Island to the south, and wilderness ranges to the west. Return transfers run from Hobart hotels, private residences and the cruise terminal, in a Mercedes-Benz people mover or Sprinter with a chauffeur-host. This is a small group experience running with between six and ten guests, which suits cruise passengers and visitors with a few hours to fill. The summit is exposed and considerably colder than the city, so warm layers are worth bringing. Access can occasionally be affected by snow, ice or high wind.
